Hello!
I am working through the 1D tutorial (https://simvascular.github.io/docs1DSimulation.html) using the demo and am getting an error when I try to "Run Simulation."
I am on Windows 11. There are no additional details accompanying the error code, so I am not sure where to go next. Any ideas?
Thank you,
Beth

Re: non-zero exit code 1073740791 when trying to run 1D demo simulation
Hi Beth,
The exit code C0000409 means that the 1D solver failed for some reason, maybe the solver input file had an error in it. Upload your SV project somewhere I can download it and I'll have a look.
Or maybe SV could not find the 1D solver. Did you install the 1D solver?
Cheers,
Dave

Re: non-zero exit code 1073740791 when trying to run 1D demo simulation
Hi Dave,
Thanks so much for your quick reply! Here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F8MEN7 ... sp=sharing) is a link to the zipped project (the GUI was not letting me 'save as' a new project, so it is mostly just the demo project files from https://simtk.org/frs/download_confirm. ... oup_id=930 plus the ROM simulation folder that was generated with what I've been trying today).
As far as I can tell, I do have the 1D solver installed (in C:/Program Files/SimVascular/svOneDSolver). I also went into 'Preferences' and checked 'Use MPI' and set the MPIExec path to svOneDSolver.exe within that svOneDSolver directory. Is there anywhere else to check and make sure that things are installed and referenced correctly?
Thanks again, please let me know if I can provide any further clarifying information!
Beth

Re: non-zero exit code 1073740791 when trying to run 1D demo simulation
Hi Beth,
I was able to run your 1D solver files to until time 3.727 when a branch went to a negative area.
The 1D solver does not use MPI. It does not seem like you need to set the location of the 1D solver although it may not hurt.
Preferences panel (this is for MacOS) Do you have the latest versions of SV and the 1D solver installed? The latest build for the 1D solver is October.
Cheers,
Dave

Thank you Dave - I installed the 1D solver just last week, but it looks like my simvascular was installed in June 2022, so I will try to update that and see if things start to work.
Thank you!
Beth

Hello! I am also having this issue. Did you find a solution? It seems when I try to set the path to the 1D solver, it never saves it. When I go back to the preferences after setting the path, it is blank again. Any idea why this is happening? I updated to the 2023 version of SimVascular and it did not fix my problem.

Re: non-zero exit code 1073740791 when trying to run 1D demo simulation
Hello,
I just tested on Windows.
There appears to be a bug in setting the location of the 1D solver, I think once it is set SV will pick it up even though the path is not displayed. I will open an Issue for this.
Once I set the 1D solver location I am able to run a 1D simulation fine.
What exactly is the error you are seeing? Please attach the popup window that appears when you run the 1D solver.
Cheers,
Dave
