CMC Optimizer

Post by julia kar » Thu Aug 05, 2010 11:14 am

Hi OpenSim team,

In the July 2010 jamboree there was some discussions on optimizations. I am curious about some aspects of the CMC optimization? MY questions are:
Is it possible to find out the optimization technique used in CMC, which publication would that be?
Is it possible to find out the equations used through running CMC command line or otherwise?

Is it also possible to specify our own equations?
Thanks
Julia

Here is what I use as the main source for CMC, and my advisor is Thelen.

Using computed muscle control to generate forward dynamic simulations of human walking from experimental data
Darryl G. Thelen, and Frank C. Andersonb

This should also point you to some really good papers.

Here is another great source that includes more equations.

Generating dynamic simulations of movement using computed muscle control
