Wrong Excitation Data

Post by Sierra Foley » Mon Aug 14, 2023 2:08 pm

Hello all,

I am trying to run CEINMS in combination with some EMG data we have. I setup all my files in what I thought was proper; however, when I try to run it in the command window. Once it starts running the EMG data, for some of the muscles it just keeps stating WARNING! Wrong excitation data provided for muscle (varies but it is 1 of 5 muscles), it should be between 0 and 1. For the muscles that do have EMG data, I checked the EMG .mot file and the values are all normalized to MCV. Does anyone have any experience with this error?

Hi

You need to check your emg files there must b definitely values greater than 1 even though MVC normalized. You shud try normalizing with all the trials you have for that subject including MVC. That solved my this problem.

Muscle activations need to be between 0 and 1 for CEINMS lest it will throw an error.

Hope this helps.
