Issues with 'Inspect Experimental Data'

Post by Herman van Werkhoven » Fri Sep 15, 2023 1:03 pm

Hi there,

I am having issues with transforming axes in order for lab and model data to align. I have followed the 'Previewing Transformed Data' steps found here (Pages/OpenSim Documentation/Documentation Users Guide/Loading and Saving Models and Motion Data/Previewing Motion Capture (Mocap) Data). I have completed the following steps:
  • Right-mouse clicked on the navigator node corresponding to the motion file viewed - a *.trc file. Once I do this, I can see markers being loaded and I can play through the gait trial without issues
  • Chosen 'Transform' from the drop-down menu.
  • Double clicked on the listed folder to display the list of markers
  • Use the arrow buttons to change the angle
However, I do not see any transformation (change in experimental motion direction) in the viewer. I would appreciate any advice on what I might be doing wrong?

Also, there is a 'Save As ...' button in the 'Inspect Experimental Data' window. Does this imply that the transformed data will be saved? It specifically states that 'The data file itself is NOT modified by OpenSim; the data previewer just displays the transformed data, so that the appropriate transformation(s) may be determined and applied during preprocessing.' I am assuming if you save it though, it will be saving the modified (transformed) *.trc file.

Regards,
Herman
