0D ROM running issue

Post by Viola Wu » Wed Sep 27, 2023 9:40 am

Hi all,

I am trying to run 0D Rom on Simvascular (version 2023 05.23) on a Mac and on a Windows computer. The model I used for both is the one provided by SimVascular, called "demo". Simulations on both computers failed. The error message on my mac reads "Status: ERROR ERROR: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'junction_args'", and the error message on my windows computer reads "Unable to load the Python 'svZeroDSolver.svzerodsolver' module". Could anyone share some insights in this issue? Many thanks!

Viola

Hi Viola,

Where did you download the demo project from? Is this the Demo Project from https://simtk.org/frs/download_confirm. ... oup_id=930 ?

I just ran a 0D simulation for the Demo Project on a Mac and it worked OK. I will test on Windows soon.

Upload your SV project somewhere I can download it and I'll have a look.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Yes, it is the Demo Project from the link you sent me. I'm not able to attach the compressed file in this post because it is too large. However, the parameters I changed on that model is the same as those in the tutorial here: https://simvascular.github.io/documenta ... ation.html

If there are any other ways to upload my SV project, please let me know, and I'll be happy to do so! And if you came up with any insights on how to solve the issue on windows, please let me know, too. I appreciate your help on this matter!

Best,
Viola

Hi Viola,

I followed the Tutorial and things worked fine, maybe a different inlet flow file?

Users typically upload their data to a Google Docs account.

Dave

Hi Dave,

I checked the inflow file, which is attached to the SV demo project, and it writes:
0.0 -100
1.0 -100

In addition, I have compiled some of the output data files after I click "create files for simulation":
https://docs.google.com/document/d/16QW ... sp=sharing

If you can take a look and see what went on, I'd appreciate it.

Best,
Viola

Hi Viola,

I've reproduced the 0D solver failure that you are seeing and have opened an Issue for it (https://github.com/SimVascular/svZeroDSolver/issues/76).

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for opening that issue! If you have a chance, could you help running the same SV file on windows and Ubuntu? My version is 2023.03.27, and I keep receiving the error message called "Unable to load the Python 'svZeroDSolver.svzerodsolver' module". I appreciate your help!

Best,
Viola

Hi Viola,

I've confirmed this problem on Ubuntu and Windows and have opened an Issue for it https://github.com/SimVascular/SimVascular/issues/1036.

Cheers,
Dave
