Initial conditions in ROM 1D simulations

Post by Alessia Ruzzier » Mon Oct 30, 2023 10:08 am

Hi all,

I am running some 1D simulations with the OneDSolver to tune the RCR parameters for a model that includes the aorta (from the valve to the thoracic descending), the coronaries and the upper branches. I noticed that the simulations do not reach periodic convergence even after 16 cycles (about 25 minutes of simulation), as you can see from the plot of the pressure measured at the ascending aorta (see attached picture). I was wondering if there was a way to prescribe the initial pressure and if this might help to reach the periodic steady state faster.

Thank you for your help,

Alessia

I think the 1D solver will start from the pressure you set as "reference pressure" for the material.
