Muscle activation with external load(instead of GRF) for fixed kinematics

Hello,
I would like to observe the change in muscle force and following metabolic cost provide an external force (as a predetermined timeseries) other than GRF with fixed kinematics.

Is it possible with OpenSim or other tools like SCONE?
