non-zero exit code 11

Post by Nicolas Bernard » Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:21 am

Hi,

I am currently studying blood flow dynamics in an aneurysmatic aorta using three models from the repository: 0042_H_ABAO_AAA, 0033_H_ABAO_AAA, and 0039_H_ABAO_AAA. Following the tutorial recommendations, I have initiated rigid initial simulations using svSolver. However, I am encountering a consistent issue across all three models with a non-zero exit code 11 error.

Could someone please provide insight into the possible causes of this error?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

What os are you running on? On Ubuntu exit code 11 is a memory allocation error so maybe you are running out of memory.

Note that the repository models are quite large and are typically run on a HPC cluster.

Cheers,
Dave

Hello David,

Thank you for your response.

The operating system I am using is Ubuntu 20.04. The error persists when I run the simulation as in Simulation. However, when I try to run the same model in FSI, I do not encounter any errors. Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

Thank you very much.

Hello,

I downloaded 0042_H_ABAO_AAA and ran a simulation on Ubuntu 20 using six processors for a few time steps no problem. Did you modify any of the original solver parameters?

How many processors did you use and at what time step did you see the exit code 11 error?

Cheers,
Dave
