How do I set accurate orienttaion

Post by Nasara Sualiha Abdul-Lateef » Mon Jul 08, 2024 7:26 am

Dear OpenSim Community,

I am currently working on a gait analysis project involving the collection of data using IMUs, processing the data with MATLAB to obtain quaternions, and subsequently using OpenSim to perform inverse kinematics.

However, I am encountering an issue where my musculoskeletal model exhibits a staggering effect each time I run my analysis. I have attempted to filter the IMU data using both the Madgwick filter but I am still unable to achieve a stable and accurate representation of the gait cycle. I understand it has to do with the orientations but I do not know how to go about it.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this issue. I have attached an image of the musculoskeletal model exhibiting the staggering effect for reference.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
