Boundary Layer on a specific Wall

Post by Mahmoud Elhadidy » Fri Aug 23, 2024 11:43 am

Hi,
I have a geometry with 2 walls which are almost perpendicular to each other, and when I want to generate a boundary layer meshing the 2 boundary layer meshes of both wall layers intersect and either cause the mesh to be failed, or the solution to be diverged at the intersection.

So, my question is:
is there a way that I can use to exclude a specific wall in my geometry to not have the boundary layer meshing?!

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

is there a way that I can use to exclude a specific wall in my geometry to not have the boundary layer meshing?!

The boundary layer meshing was implemented for anatomic geometry so sharp corners cause the problems you are seeing.

There is no way to identify which faces to use for boundary layer meshing.

Cheers,
Dave
