Meshing the upper respiratory system model in Simvascular

Post by Narges Mirdamadi » Tue Oct 01, 2024 11:09 am

Hello, I have two 3D models of the upper respiratory system of two babies, but I face some challenges while meshing them in SimVascular.

I can easily generate volume meshing on the models with different element sizes but when I try surface meshing it fails with all the element sizes I tried.

Also, when I try boundary layer meshing the software crashes even when I change the settings and use different element sizes. Also, I tried to remesh them before meshing it but still it does not solve this problem. I would appreciate it if you could suggest a way to generate volume, surface and boundary layer meshing on my models.

Thank you,
Narges

Hi Narges,

Upload your SV project somewhere I can download it and I'll have a look. There is no need to include the imaging data.

Cheers,
Dave

Hello,
Thank you for your response and help. Is it possible that I share the link to the SV projects via email with you? unfortunately, I am not allowed to share the models here.
Thanks again.
Best regards,
Narges
