FSI: pressure and prestress initialization

Post by Ione Ianniruberto » Tue Dec 10, 2024 8:07 am

Hi everyone,

my collegues and I are working on an FSI simulation of the aorta. We have previously computed the pressure field and the prestress using two additional simulations

i) a CFD simulation to compute the pressure

ii) a structural simulation to compute the stresses on the aorta.

For the FSI simulation we have provided the path to the final .vtu containing information about the pressure field and stress field obtained by the previous two simulations.

However when we run the FSI simulation it seems that the variables have not been initialized. When we analyze the first frame (frame 0) the pressure values do not correspond to the initial values provided, neither do the stress values.

Should we enforce the initialization in a different way or there is something wrong with our set-up? Is there a precise command that should be written in the input file to guarantee the correct initialization?

Thanks,
Ione
