Help need: Invalid axis order for Euler joint: ground_pelvis

Post by Ji Chen » Thu Jan 23, 2025 10:45 am

hey all,

I am new to addBiomechanics. I uploaded an Opensim model and a .trc motion file and .mot GRF file. They are attached here. Sorry all three files are zipped and uploaded here because of its size.

AddBiomechanics says that:

LoadingError - LoadingError: Error when loading subject or trials files. Below is the original error message, which main contain useful information about your issue. If you are unable to resolve the issue, please submit a forum post at https://simtk.org/projects/addbiomechanics or a submit a GitHub Issue at https://github.com/keenon/AddBiomechanics/issues with all error messages included.

Exception caught in load_folder: Invalid axis order for Euler joint: ground_pelvis

I am not sure how I should address it. I assume the error is associated with the Opensim model I used, especially with the pelvis joint. But I have compared it with the model Gait2354. They look same to me.

I would really appreciate it if anyone can offer me some suggestions. Thanks.

Ji

Hi Ji,

It seems like your model loads fine in OpenSim, but can you confirm that your model loads correctly in the OpenSim GUI? The issue could be that the rotation sequence is getting reordered when the model is being converted to Nimble.

I'll create an issue on the AddBiomechanics repository to track this.

Best,
Nick
