Path Actuator Definition

Post by Josée Mallah » Fri Feb 21, 2025 4:41 pm

Hello,
I am using a path actuator defined between the pelvis and heel to assist plantarflexion. However, I am confused on how to make the device unidirectional (pull only) as it is the case in a motor+bowden cable.
Should I set max_control or min_control to 0?
I tried setting max_control to 0, I got negative force, velocity, and power (which I am curious about) around toe off.
Help is much appreciated,
Thank you

Hello Josee!

Have you tried to take a look at the Path Actuator definition here: https://github.com/opensim-org/opensim- ... tuator.cpp

Perhaps you can share some code snippets too, that will help!

Thanks,

Nicos
