Forward dynamics failure

Post by Lydia Willemse » Thu Jan 13, 2011 4:13 am

I want to check the results from CMC with the forward dynamic tool. However, it fails to run, the message window stating: 'Using dt specified from storage UNKNOWN'.

Is this the reason for failure and how can I solve fot this?

I specified the states.sto file in the appropriate input field.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Lydia,

According to the message, the name specified at the top of the storage file is "UNKNOWN", however this is not a problem since the name is never used. What are the symptoms of the failure, or how do you know it failed?

Please let us know so we can help you troubleshoot.
Best,
-Ayman

Hi Ayman,

Thanks for your promt reply. An information window states: 'Tool execution failed. Check message window for details' and 'forward integration failed. Keep partial result?'.

Checking the message window, the last message is: 'Integrating from 5.03 to 5.9' (i.e. the time range I specified). In the message window I also see that states, coordinates, bodies, and actuators are recognized as they are listed. So as far as I can see, there is no clear failure message...

Kind regards,

Lydia
