Mandible movements

Post by Michala Cadova » Wed Mar 14, 2012 4:51 am

Hi,
I went through the forums as well as the project’s pages carefully, but I haven’t found much about modeling the motion of the mandible. It seems that the neck kinematics is the closest I can find. Is this project only about the neck and head kinematics/dynamics or is there something concerning the oral complex/chewing motion, as well?

Could anyone help me concerning the attachment points (their definition) of the muscles involved in chewing (masseter, temporalis, pterygoid, etc.) and appropriate physiology?

Michala
