Joint Reaction Analyze - CoordinateActuator

Post by Günter Schneider » Thu Jun 06, 2013 1:13 pm

Hi everyone,

I did some Joint Reaction Analysis with both, the results of CMC and SO. As mentioned in the Webinar (http://www.stanford.edu/group/opensim/s ... in-OpenSim) i used the same files (Motion, externalForce, Actuators, ...) in Joint Reaction Analyze like in CMC or SO.

The problem is, that with the actuator file (reserve actuators) my resulting forces and moments are extremly high ... so I followed the lines of "Best Practices and Troubleshooting Tips" at http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:80 ... s+Analysis and excluded the reserve actuators. My results are in the range I expected them but I´m not sure if these result are now correct? Because when I flag "Replace model's force set" instead of let the field for the additional force set free the results look good too!?!?

So what's the right way for JR? How can I check/verify my results? Or is it necessary to change the actuator-file? (use something else instead of CoordinateActuators)?

Thanks for every answer and all the best!

günter
