Question about IK & ID?

If I run IK tool then model start walking and we can calculate metabolic rate also then why we go for ID tool?
What is the used for that?
Without run ID tool we can go directly for CMC ?
What are the significance of RRA and CMC?
If we don't run ID tool & RRA tool then what is the effect or changes occurs on the model?
