Model subtraction

Post by Dai Xiao Dai » Tue Aug 25, 2020 8:02 am

Dear developer,

I want to create an aneurysm model with thrombosis. I found it difficult to draw cross sections without thrombosis along the center-line. Do you have a better way to do this? I attached a draft to show what the aneurysm looked like.

Thank you very much. -v-

Hello Dai,

I'm not entirely clear about what you want to do. Do want to create a cross-section excluding the thrombosis? If so then you can create a cross-section using the SplinePolygon segmentation.

Cheers,
Dave

Hello Dave,

I can draw a part of the model in your way. But please look at this figure. It seemed that the thrombosis did not touch the wall. Along the centerline, I need to draw something like a ring (the green part). I don't know what to do.

Cheers,
Dai

Hello Dai,

I don't quite understand what you are saying. You need to outline the vessel wall and the thrombosis. You may have to create an artificial path to do this, just something that allows you to outline the thrombosis.

We are working on integrating some 3D segmentation tools that will make this process easier.

Cheers,
Dave
