Hello,
I have been using the IMU capabilities of OpenSim within MatLab and was hoping to make some adjustments to how my IMU's are being placed. I understand that within some of the set-up files it requires that an IMU be attached to a body and then places the IMU directly on the center of mass for that body.
I was curious if there was any was to adjust this placement and potentially attach the IMU to a model marker or even a part of a body that isn't necessarily the center of mass.
Additionally, I have been working within the 4.2 beta a bit so see how well calibration and IK matches up with the IMU data I am working with and have noticed that IMU Placement is acting a bit differently within the 4.2 environment. I am using the ScapuloThoracic model and placement is not consistent between the two versions, but I am using the same set-up files. This then causes the IK to produce different results as well.
