Using RRA results vs Inverse Kinematics (CMC)

I understand that you can use Inverse Kinematics to run CMC. I was wondering what difference there is between using the Inverse Kinematics and the Inverse Kinematics results from RRA, especially how they can affect the force range. If someone is able to explain, I would greatly appreciate it.
