External Loads Files

Post by Abdulbaset Benwali » Mon Oct 30, 2023 2:29 pm

Good day,
I have question about the external load after creating GRF.xml file and GRF.mot file. I know to use the GRF.xml which will be used in box of the External Loads as shown "External loads specification file".
Now, where to use the GRF.mot file?
Can I use it in the RRA and CMC in the input of the "desired kinematics"?
Please advise any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Abdulbaset,

In the external loads file you specify which bodies to apply the external forces to, there is also a tag <datafile> and for this tag you provide the *.mot file containing the external forces data - does that help with answering your question? You can also check the default files in the Gait2354_Simbody folder (found in your OpenSim installation).

Best wishes,

Nicos
