Lumbar analysis

New project for OpenCap, which is a new software package to estimate 3D human movement dynamics from smartphone videos. OpenCap strongly relies on OpenSim.

Lumbar analysis

Post by Mina Salehi » Tue Nov 14, 2023 1:58 pm

Hello OpenCap team!

What is the best way to use OpenCap for the lumbar kinetic analysis? I am trying to use LFB_model.osim with OpenCap. Do you suggest getting row kinematic data from OpenCap and applying them to LFB model in OpenSim?
Or adding back muscles from LFB to LaiUhlrich2022.osim in OpenCap when using the platform locally? Not sure if the second one is even possible!

Best,
Mina

Hi,

Does the LFB model have the same kinematic model as the LaiUhlrich2022.osim but only extra muscles?
The second approach is certainly possible, see this thread (viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=2385&t=17002&p=0&s ... ebc8db6cde) about how to reprocess your data locally with a different model.

best,
Antoine
