Converting Older OpenSim models to work on OpenSim 4..3

Post by Sanura Dunu Arachchige » Fri Dec 08, 2023 6:39 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to use MoBL-ARMS Dynamic Upper Limb model in OpenSim 4.3. Even thought the package includes a model updated for OpenSim 4.0+, that is not working properly. Initially it gives an error (check below image). When I close it the model loads up with some bone parts missing. I tried using the command to convert older models to newer models too. Seems not to be working. Someone please let me know a way to over come this issue.

Initially it gives an error (check below image).
The message in the "Warning" window is just a warning. Please see the "Upgrade Notes for OpenSim 4.0" page in the documentation for more information about this message (specifically, see the information about updating joint types in the "Upgrading your model files" section here: https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... penSim+4.0).
When I close it the model loads up with some bone parts missing.
You may need to set the Geometry Search Path (see https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... references) or copy the model's Geometry folder into the same folder as the osim file.
