I understand that the Inverse Dynamics tool generates the generalized forces (joint torques) given joint kinematics and the external forces. I was wondering if the joint reaction forces are also available during the Inverse Dynamics application.
I am aware of the JRA tools to calculate the joint reaction loads which follows the static optimization results after getting the corresponding muscle forces. However, can the reaction loads from the joints themselves (disregarding any muscle effects) be recovered from the inverse dynamics steps ? Recursive newton-euler based inverse dynamics typically generates both the generalized force (joint torques) and the joint reaction forces.
Thank you!

Hi, If I understand correctly, you are asking for intersegmental forces/moments. Please see this post: viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=91&t=17401&p=48373&start=0&view=
