Coordinate bounds modification

Post by Maha Abbassi » Mon Jun 28, 2010 3:43 am

Hi

I wanted to know if there's a way to modify these bounds for the inverse kinematics task.

I don't have the coordinate data for the trial, I have only the markers data.
When I set an angle > 130° in the coordinate window, the angle is set correctly for the model and I can see that in the view window.
But with the inverse kinematics tool,it's impossible to go beyond 130° although the clamp to bounds is untoggled. (I put a video here http://www.demoandmemo.net/wikiStage/Bu ... index.html)

Can anyone help please?

Thank you very much!

Maha,

I do see the video now, and I believe "unclamping" should do the trick. You may also be able to edit the .osim file (using any XML editor) and change the bounds (look under the "Coordinate" tag and modify the values between the opening and closing tags for <range>. Angles are specified in radians.

Please let me know how that goes,
-Ayman

Hi Ayman,

Thank you, it worked after I edited the .osim file(unclamping doesn't work, it was unlamped from the beginning).
