locked custom joint versus weld joint

Post by Roger Mathys » Sun Oct 17, 2010 12:19 am

Hi,

Using a neck model for simulations, I recognized that locking a custom joint (one of many others) in all degrees of freedom does not lead to the same moments (ID) and muscle forces (SO) as when this joint is replaced by a weld joint.

Has anybody an explanation for this?

Thanks a lot...

Roger
