Model crashes after changing muscle architectural properties

Post by Ran Sopher » Thu Jan 07, 2016 4:52 pm

Dear all,

I would be truly thankful for your advice..

I downloaded the model available here: https://simtk.org/frs/download.php?file_id=4079 and followed the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly4rhOOifO0 to derive joint reaction forces. The model successfully converged and I have the results.
I then tried to adjust the muscle architectural properties (max_isometric_force and pennation_angle_at_optimal) according to data from another reference to see how this might affect the results. I followed the same instructions again, but the model crashed.
Could any of you please advise on what I should do? the *.log file and *.osim file are attached here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing
I would be thankful for any help.

Regards,
Ran

Hi Ran,

The issue is most likely due to the model not being able to generate enough force. Can you post the error message you are getting?

Cheers,
-j
