Scaling based on height

Post by George Mastorakis » Wed Jul 20, 2016 2:34 am

Hi,

Is there a way to scale the model by only adjusting the height parameter? Will I still need to use markers to perform this?

Thanks

Hi George,

There is no single height based measurement method in OpenSim. You can scale any body with a set of manual measurements (you don't need markers).

If all you have is height data for your participants, you could find normative databases for height versus body segment dimensions and apply those dimensions to the model.

Cheers,
