Install Simbody

Simbody is useful for internal coordinate and coarse grained molecule modeling, large scale mechanical models like skeletons, and anything else that can be modeled as bodies interconnected by joints, acted upon by forces, and restricted by constraints.

Install Simbody

Post by Christian Greve » Thu Aug 18, 2016 5:51 am

Dear Community,

I am new to OpenSim and Simbody and have trouble to get SimBody running. I think I make a stupid mistake somewhere in the workflow. I follow the guide as provided by SimTK. I downloaded simbody 3.5.3 source from gitHub and extracted the files to a folder. However, I couldn't find a set-up file in the extracted SimBody folder and when I try to run the test files it does not work. Any help is appreciated very much.

with kind regards

Hi, Christian. If you are getting Simbody to work with OpenSim, I suggest you post your question on the OpenSim forum here -- I think you can get a lot of build & install help there.

Regards,
Sherm

P.S. No capital "B" in "Simbody".
