NAST and C2A tools now available for 3D RNA modeling

By Joy Ku

The Nucleic Acid Simulation Tool (NAST) and its related tool, Coarse to Atomic (C2A), have just been released. NAST generates a large number of conformationally diverse coarse-grained 3D RNA structures that satisfy user-provided secondary and tertiary contacts, while C2A can fill in the full-atomic details of the coarse-grained 3D RNA structures. Both of these tools use a knowledge-based approach. Learn more about and download these tools at http://simtk.org/home/nast.
