SCONE is a software tool for predictive simulations of biomechanical movement, based on forward dynamics simulation. It uses OpenSim for modeling and simulation, and allows optimization for high-level objectives, such as energy consumption and gait stability.
SCONE implements various customizable control strategies, including feed-forward control, proprioceptic feedback control, and balance control. It allows for incorporation of pathologies, such as muscle weakness, spasticity and involuntary synergies.
