Slicer 2.4 Release Notes
Slicer 1.3.0, available March 2002
Slicer 1.3.0 is available via ftp for the PC as slicer-pc-1.3.0.exe,
and via ftp for Solaris as slicer-1.3.0.tar.gz. The source for these
binaries is available through CVS via the release tagged as
release-1_2_3-02_25_2002.
Slicer 1.3.0 release brings together new functionality that has
been in development and research use for several months. Although new
improvements are continually added to the CVS source tree, the 1.3.0
release should provide a solid base for most users.
New in this version:
- New modules:
- EMSegment Implementation of Expectation Maximization Segmentation
- TetraMesh Addition of tetrahedral meshes as a data type
- VolRend Volume rendering including ray tracing or texture map approximation with MIP
or compositing with custom transfer functions.
- New Features:
- Anatomy Allows you to create files for SPL Anatomy Browser
- Correspondence Visualize corresponding nodes in models with same topology
(for example, same deformed mesh)
- Model Hierarchy Allows object hierarchies in MRML files
- Volume Math Improved functionality.
- Reformat Reformat and save volumes.
