How are you? 

You seemed to have lived a very interesting life; London, Geneva, US. What a great experience to live abroad. Was it a cultural shock to return to Japan after so many years? 

I liked what I read in your profile, that you are humorous and intelligent. Both are very important to me. And that you like kitties is a bonus!

I am currently finishing my PhD in engineering at Stanford University. I've lived in the Bay Area for about 10 years now and love it here; the beautiful coast, mountains, diverse culture, people and great food. And it not hot and humid like Japan!

I have wanted to visit Japan for a long time now. I was in Narita Airport for a couple of hours on my way to Beijing but I feel that there is a lot more to see of Japan. 

I became interested in Japan while taking Aikido and Kendo when I was an undergraduate in Atlanta and have read some books about Japanese culture. I also love Japanese food; even nato!
