I scaled a nominal OpenSim model using marker data from a static trial, which worked fine, and then tried to run IK with the scaled model using a walking trial. OpenSim immediately crashed after completing a few time frames.
I went back to the scaled model and tried running IK using the static trial marker data, and OpenSim crashed again. That crash does not make sense, since if IK crashes with the static trial marker data, then it should have crashed as well during model scaling.
When I tried File->Preview Experimental Data and loaded the static trial markers, the markers loaded and animated fine.
To re-create the problem, simply open the model, load the IK settings, and run an IK analysis. OpenSim will crash within a few time frames. No errors are written to out.log, and hs_err_pid4932.log says the following:
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x000007fefa5f23df, pid=4932, tid=2900
Very strange (and very frustrating, as I need to generate these IK results for a time-sensitive project).
I am using OpenSim 3.1 running on Windows 7 through Parallels on a Macbook Pro. |
