Summary:
experimental markers not visible while scaling

Detailed description
The experimental markers are not visualized when using the scaling tool with my Gait 2392 Model and my virtual marker set. It makes no difference if i aktivate the option "preview static pose (no marker movement)" or not.

The virtual marker are not visible making it difficult to minimize the marker error of the model when using the scaling tool.
i have already tried to re-nistall the programm but it does not change anything. Aditionally i cannot find any option that could possibly be set to a wrong value....

Hi Nikta,

My answer in the forum post "Experimental markers not visible" may be able to help you. (https://simtk.org/plugins/phpBB/viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=91&t=8812&p=0&start=0&view=) I'm not sure if the link will work but the quote below may help.

"I have since found out how to display the experimental markers. After you have run the scale tool, in the navigator window "static pose" should appear under "Motions" of the newly scaled model. If you right click on "static pose" you should see "Associate Motion Data" which will allow you to select the trc file for the static pose. The experimental markers should then show up on the scaled model."

This is my problem , too. I'm using the last version of OpenSim but the virtual markers (blue spheres ) are not visible while scaling.please guide me on how to observe blue markers .

As of version 3.3, experimental markers are not visualized as part of the scaling process, instead you load experimental markers separately and overlay them over the scaled model to see the errors. Preview has nothing to do with experimental markers, it has to do with whether to move the model markers actually or just view how they would be moved without moving them.

Hope this helps
