Can't load ToyDropLanding models on Mac

Detailed description
Using the current beta for the Mac GUI (OpenSim 4.0 Beta 121517), when trying to load any of the models from the ToyDropLanding tutorial. The error can be seen in the attached picture OpenSimError2.png. The content of the messages window can be seen in the attached picture OpenSimError.png.
