Hi,
I've recorded some data using the Vicon motion capture system and has exported a .trc file to process the data in OpenSim. However, when I employ the data previewer to transform the data due to differences in coordinate systems and then use this newly saved .trc file after the transform, the software throws an error " Unexpected number of column labels. Expected = 37. Recieved = 35". This error is incorrect as when I open the file in a text editor the column labels are 37, but when I compare to the old file, the column spacing is different. If I try to edit the spacing by copying and pasting the spacing from the old to the new .trc file it goes past this stage but then states " Model has no markers!". This is again incorrect as the markers are in the file. Furthermore, if I try to run the scale or inverse kinematics operation without changing the coordinate system (using the original .trc file exported from the vicon) it runs without a problem, but the issue then is that the data is incorrect as the coordinate systems are different. All this means that saving the .trc file after transformation changes not only the coordinates but also something else in the file (most likely some spacing) and this in turns doesn't allow for it to be used further as OpenSim reads the data incorrectly and thinks there's an error in number of columns or the markers are missing. I've attached the original .trc file exported from vicon nexus and the new .trc file saved after the transformation using the data previewer GUI. I hope you'll be able to see what's causing this and give me some advice how to move forward past that issue. Thank you in advance!
