While we haven't tested on this specific Windows environment, the issue with most Virtual Machines is the access to the Graphics card/acceleration. If you can enable this access then the application should work without problem, if not I'd suggest you install the application on the Windows/OSX machine directly in order to use the visualization. Not clear what the dialog you're referring to or if the Models have been installed (normally copied on first launch to Users/XXX/Documents/OpenSim 4.0/
I have the same problem on startup. The dialog pops up twice but clicking "OK" seems to move past it and launch the program. Not sure if any functionality has been disabled yet. This is with Microsoft's Windows 10 EDGE test image running under VirtualBox 5.2.18. No other software has been installed.
The message is a bit misleading since having the libraries on the path is not required anymore for v4.0. Is the machine running Windows x64 version or x86? Only Windows x64 machines are supported in version 4.0. Also did you install as a user and try to run as a different user? Try to do the installation as admin.
Using Opensim 4.0 downloaded from official website. i couldn't add models and other stuffs. Using Sony Vaio laptop. Is there any other softwares necessarily to be installed?
Which version, installer? Can you describe your machine?
