Those VMD parameters should start out disabled if "View Live in VMD" is not selected.

Date: 2009-04-23 16:20 Sender: Joy Ku Follow-up on selecting "Cancel" when asked to locate VMD - this occurred on Windows and PowerPC Mac. Other platforms have not been tested for this yet. Also, to clarify, when I say "Zephyr runs fine," I mean that it goes through the requested number of time steps. I did not check for valid outputs.
Date: 2009-04-22 18:48 Sender: Jeanette Schmidt One more related addendum from Joy: b) On Windows, if this option is not checked, everything is grayed out EXCEPT for the "every 0.1 ps" and "0 steps" boxes. I noticed that the number changes to 0 steps, but is not grayed out. All other boxes are grayed out. The resetting to 0 steps when disabling VMD also happens on intel mac although the box is grayed out in this case. Woudl prefer if unchecking the "VMD" box would live grayed out parameters in default settings and "doing the right thing behind the scenes".

If I select this "View simulation live in VMD" (without having installed VMD), a window appears asking where VMD is? That's great! The only thing is that if I hit "Cancel" without actually specifying VMD, the checkbox remains checked. Zephyr runs fine. It doesn't launch VMD and doesn't choke, but it could be a little confusing. Jeanette: on intel mac In addition if the wrong app is selected by mistake an error appears: Application Error Couldn't execute ... and there is no way to correct the selection w/o quitting Zephyr
