Notes:

  1. Discuss interface development for the compute gateway to Simtk.
    • Stanford team has been focusing on XSEDE requirements for gateway. Identified the XSEDE contact person and will soon set up a meeting to discuss the requirements (protocols etc.) for setting up the gateway.
    • If necessary, Cleveland Clinic team can get involved in the XSEDE discussions in the future.
    • Other computing options are also being considered such as Amazon elastic computing or Open Science Grid.
    • Prototyping of the user interface can be done for now on a local machine.
    • Craig put additional information for admin and retrieval interface.
    • For the admin interface, a similar interface as the user interface can be created with more options available to the admins that will allow them to add links to locations in repository where associated files are stored.
    • A mock version of the user interface will be worked on by the Stanford team and Cleveland Clinic team can work as a usability testing site.
    • Example files can be used for the mock version.
  2. Decide action items for next meeting
    • See immediate action items.
  3. Other
    • Bugs on the Simtk task manager (some task pages appear blank) were discussed. Stanford team will address the issues in the coming weeks.
    • More social networking features and avenues need to be explored for Simtk in general which will also benefit Open knee project. Currently some options are added on the Specimen specification page for public involvement. They are however are not very visible and available for all pages. More generalized platform for user discussions and community involvement need to be build.
