Immediate Action Items:

• Ahmet

  • Organize front page to delineate general description, description for users, and description for developers.
  • Follow up with Izzy Delgado-Dembie to purchase tissue testing system.

• Snehal

  • Evaluate candidate specimen.
  • Request four additional specimens for prospective purchase.
  • Schedule trial imaging session.

• Tara

  • Follow up with the order of additional specimens if they qualify.

• Craig

  • Update imaging specifications for organization and interactions with imaging facility personnel.

• Jason

  • Utilize previous data on knee joint testing to quantify the influence of skin and surrounding tissue on joint kinematic-kinetic response.

• Craig and Jason

  • Take over interactions with the imaging facility during Snehal's absence.
  • Ask Chris Flask about appropriate documentation of imaging settings using OAI manuscript as example.

• Robb and Tara

  • Design and outfit clamps and containers (+heater) for new tissue testing system.
  • Provide general description of testing equipment along with sampling frequency, resolution, range, etc. in the ["Infrastructure/ExperimentationMechanics"].
  • In specifications page, explicitly state what measurements are recorded and provided.

• Snehal and Tara

  • Meet and discuss tissue preparation procedures, in particular sampling and cutting.

  • Specimen preparation and registration pages need to be reviewed by all members promptly to launch the pages for public review
  • Experimentation wiki page on joint mechanics needs to be reviewed by all members promptly to launch the page for public review
  • Refer to immediate action items from December 17, 2013 for other incomplete duties.

Notes:

1. Discuss tasks progress.
   • Minutes from previous meeting were discussed.
   • Joint testing specifications.
     • Once the team members review and agree upon the joint testing related specification, a review by community will be requested.
     • An abridged version of the data-structure document will be developed for this project in particular.
     • Description of the robot and other testing equipment specifications will be clearly described in a separate document and added to the infrastructure page.
     • Ahmet edited the joint testing specifications page. Remaining queries will be addressed by team members.
   • Public outreach and community review.
     • A continuous delivery of information will need to be adapted instead of releasing all the information at once.
     • To allow the audience to easily navigate through the pages, the front page of the Wiki will be reorganized.
     • Specific aims will be moved to the top of the page. Separate section for users and developers will be prepared with appropriate links.
     • A general description of the roadmap page will be added at the top of the page.
   • Specimens.
     • Snehal will request specimens for the additional 4 specimens and Tara will take over responsibility while Snehal is away.
   • Imaging specifications.
     • The specimen transportation device components were prepared by the prototype lab and will be assembled and tested in the next few days.
     • Once the device is ready Jason or Craig will contact the MRI facility to schedule the next imaging test session.
     • MESE, 3D-DESS protocols will be tested.
     • In the meantime Craig will reorganize the imaging specifications page.
   • Tissue testing.
     • Snehal will request Izzy to help with tissue testing machine ordering.
     • Ahmet, Robb and Snehal will meet to discuss the camera calibration issues sometime in February.
     • The necessary accessories for the tissue testing machine ( clamps, heater-thermocouple) will be designed/ bought by end of February.
     • Snehal and Tara will meet up and discuss the tissue testing preparation specifications (Sampling/ cutting).
2. Ahmet informed the Stanford team about the bugs in task display.
3. Discuss immediate action items from previous meeting.
   • Craig and Tara conducted hands-on trial on the effect of curing of bone cement with alternative marker materials and found all the samples to be non-reactive.
   • Action items from previous meetings will be discussed next week to cover all the assigned work that was delayed due to winter break.
4. Decide tasks for the next meeting.
