Immediate Action Items:

Notes:

  1. Discuss immediate action items from the last meeting.
    • Ahmet has not reviewed the manuscripts nor was able to work on putting sample images on geometry generation wiki. He noted that he had to allocate a week to review all the data manuscripts together.
    • Ahmet and Robb discussed Craig's code on plotting contact pressures. Robb will work with Python to generate figures for the patellofemoral joint manuscript.
    • Snehal conducted tests to see if the discrepancies between tests conducted in different days were associated with sample degradation. She tested the same cartilage sample three times under unconfined compression. Mismatches of moduli estimation, for the same sample, from data of different days was around 10%. There were no trends, i.e. a decrease in moduli in consecutive days, indicating that the day-to-day discrepancies were not related to tissue degradation. Ahmet mentioned that we should check the force-displacement data to see if it aligns well, i.e. by shifting the zero force displacement value.
    • Jason completed the background for the patellofemoral joint testing manuscript. He will upload his document to the repository.
    • Robb will continue working on the patellofemoral joint testing manuscript. He will prioritize pulling in Jason's and Tara's comments into his document. Then return back to generation of figures.
    • Robb still needs to e-mail Martin Garon about the noise issue in Mach-1 system. Snehal will provide an example data file to supply to Martin.
  2. Discuss progress of tissue testing protocol evaluation.
    • See relevant notes in the discussions of immediate action items from the last meeting.
  3. Decide immediate action items for the next meeting.
    • See Immediate Action Items above.
  4. Other.
    • Will has been working on a TDMS file utility script. The group discussed potential implementation of a GUI, i.e. allow the user to choose the data they want to plot and export. This can be made available to Open Knee(s) users online.
    • Ahmet reminded the team that the SimTk.org site has been upgraded and the new version will go live on Wednesday.
