Contact Geometry in soccer kicking model

Hi,
In Soccer model ,when i tried to execute the kick with my own desired angle values using .mot file the kick is not getting executed.But after uploading the same .mot file and clicking the simulate icon (the green icon),the kick gets executed.Then does it mean that .mot files are used only for executing movements and not contact forces and contact geometries ?.

When you click simulate, the model executes a fwd simulation and does not care about the motion file that you specified.
