Predicting GRF

Post by Mohammadreza Rezaie » Sun May 17, 2020 6:56 am

Hi,

I'm quite interested in learning the ways of predicting the Ground Reaction Forces in OpenSim.

Any help is much appreciated.

Dear Mohammad,

Check out this project: https://simtk.org/projects/contact_osim_u

It provides a good introduction to contact modelling that might help you with your project.

All the best,

Mike

Dear Michael,

Many thanks for your reply. They are very helpful and I appreciate it.

I was looking for something like this in OpenSim v. 4.x:
https://opensim.stanford.edu/support/ev ... .php?id=37

Is there any workaround for that?
(I mean using markers and IAA instead of defining contact points)

Your response would be greatly appreciated.
Kindly Regards

Dear Mohammad,

I am not an expert in IAA, but based on the link your provided, it appears that some sort of contact modelling is implemented.

I don't know what your research question is, but you may benefit from checking out this project and the publications associated with it: https://simtk.org/projects/datatracking

I hope that helps!

Mike

Dear Michael,

Thanks for the Link you provided about the contact modeling.
I downloaded it but having difficulties opening it because I am getting following error within the GUI

Maybe you can help me with that, that would be perfect.

Kind regards,
Markus
