Can Lower Extremities model be modified to include knee rotation?

Post by Christian Ramirez » Wed Apr 05, 2023 10:35 am

Hello. I am currently working on the lower extremities model from OpenSim to process some rock climbing data. This model only evaluate knee flexion but I need to evaluate also knee rotation. While seeing the code for the model it appears to be a knee rotation part but it is not activated. Does someone know how to activate it to be able to evaluate and graph data o knee rotation? Or is there a lower limb model that have rotation?

I would encourage you to search the literature for studies similar to the one you'd like to carry out to see if they have created and used models that have been validated. You could also check out https://simtk.org/ as many models are shared here as well.

If you end up having to make changes to a model for your specific case, you could first check the OpenSim Models documentation for more information: https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... Sim+Models
