What is the relationship between Metabolic Rate and muscle activation?

Post by Rahul Gharate » Mon Dec 09, 2019 4:46 am

What is the relationship between muscle activation of leg and metabolic rate.
I have provided path actuator. I got less metabolic rate result but my muscle activation hasn't not reduced.
I want to reduce muscle activation but in static muscle activation opensim provide strong actuator file in thea there is 100 N optimal force.
For gait 2354 model , I have provided path actuator with 15N optimal force but I didn't get the less reduction of muscle activation and angles (Hip-knee-ankle) so what is the reason.
There were no effect on angles and muscle activation.
also what is the muscle activation pattern for stroke patients.
Please help.

Please read the documentation here (https://simtk.org/api_docs/opensim/api_ ... ml#details) and the papers that are referenced there.
