Notes:
- Discuss immediate action items from past meetings.
- All action items were related to the recurring agenda items; refer to discussions below.
- In vivo testing progress.
- The first official in vivo experiment for Operation MULTIS took place last week. The data is currently being evaluated to ensure completeness.
- Tyler discussed the quality of file association (force data to ultrasound images) for the first official subject of in vivo experiment. 50 of 56 locations were file matched automatically and Tyler is currently investigating why certain files are not associating. The group discussed different methods to troubleshoot the unassociated files.
- The group will decide continuing with additional subjects next week, following the evaluation of data from the first subject.
- Ahmet asked Tyler to start an outline and establish specific aims for a manuscript on instrumented ultrasound.
- Readiness for in vitro testing.
- The phenolic for the corner table has arrived and been cut to size. The table will be finished within a week as the 80/20 excursions arrive shortly.
- Cameras and necessary accessories were ordered.
- Cadaver specimen order somehow did not go through. Tyler will follow up for re-ordering.
Modeling & simulation specifications.
- Ben was on vacation; no updates were noted.
- Decide immediate action items for next meeting.
- See Immediate Action Items above.
- Other.
- Rici discussed her plan to extract thickness of skin, fat, and muscle from ultrasound images. Her approach includes a back up manual method and ideally an automated method. Her activities will be part of data processing, which will be added as an ongoing agenda item.
