Notes:

  1. Recap on the status of data management interface.
    • Mike demonstrated the current prototype ofdata management interface. He talked about the implementation of several changes to the interface. First, control of read-write privileges has been separated between public, team members, and administrators. All user groups require an account to login. One can register and the administrator can confirm access when a new account is created. Second, the querying system was updated to reflect the subject demographics and anthropometrics from the subject xml file. Finally, the browser window was modified to resize with different screen resolutions so that it can be viewed on computers, tablets, phones, etc.
    • Cleveland Clinic team provided feedback on current prototype of data management interface.
      • Ahmet suggested having 4 categories of users (JPK: This level of permissions granularity will be implemented at a later time. For this first release, it was agreed that the current set-up is sufficient):
        • Anonymous Public - To browse and view data
        • Registered Public - To query and download data
        • Team members - To read and write data
        • Admin members - To control of user rights
      • Cleveland Clinic team confirmed that querying portion looks functional for the MULTIS project.
      • Ahmet brought up the ability to track user statistics from the site (number of users, total number of queries and downloads by the user, etc.). A user interface for the admin users will be discussed at a later time. This would include easy access to statistics like number of downloads and details of query searches. Currently, the system stores this information in a log file.
    • Mike mentioned that additional example sets of data would be helpful to understand the data that we have for each subject. Ahmet suggested putting a sample data set on the SimTk website or wiki for Mike.

  2. Planning and scheduling for public launch of data management interface.
    • Mike will get the functional prototype ready and give access to the Cleveland Clinic team within the next few weeks.
    • The Cleveland Clinic team will then disseminate data and test the functionality of the prototype. Recommendations for changes and improvements will be documented as they come up.
  3. Other.
    • None noted.
