Immediate Action Items:

Notes:

  1. Discuss immediate action items from past meetings.
    • All action items were related to the recurring agenda items; refer to discussions below.
  2. Manuscripts update.
    • Tyler submitted the manuscript on instrumented ultrasound to all co-authors. Involved team members are expected to review it by next week.
    • Rici has already updated the manuscript on in vivo data. For submission, the team will wait for the manuscript on instrumented ultrasound.
    • Ben did not have a chance to focus on writing the modeling related manuscript.
  3. In vitro testing progress.
    • All requested software updates were completed.
    • Tyler informed Ahmet by e-mail that he would be working on testing the three-dimensional strain measurement system. He got a quote for sutures and modified the forceps.
  4. Modeling & simulation progress.

    • Ben continued to develop the leg simulation. He now has a working model with in situ strain, gravitational loading, and contact between probe and tissue. He has implemented the indentation of probe as displacement of the probe in the experimentally measured direction and magnitude.
    • Tammy continued segmentation; she finished the cadaver leg specimen and moved on to the cadaver arm specimen.
  5. Decide immediate action items for next meeting.
    • See Immediate Action Items above.
  6. Other.
    • Ahmet submitted the annual report.
    • Ahmet and Rici had a meeting with Stanford University team on the logistics of disseminating in vitro data. Short-term and long-term strategies were determined. In the meanwhile, the team will accumulate data in MIDAS, the in-house data management system.
